Project Details

For the renovation of Austin PBS’s Greenroom and dressing rooms, the goal was to transform these spaces into a more hospitality-focused environment that is versatile and welcoming. The project included several key design elements aimed at enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

Natural stone countertops for durability and visual appeal, a custom millwork wall was the central feature, incorporating a custom built turntable and built-in speakers. This stained wood wall is visually striking and functional, with speakers integrated into the ceiling and millwork to ensure even sound distribution throughout the space. The design of the banquette seating focused on providing comfort and style, with modular options considered to offer flexibility for different events.

Custom furnishings were designed to be both stylish and functional, with a focus on comfort for guests and practicality for various types of events. Specialty finishes such as high-gloss lacquer, matte textures, or metallic accents add elegance to the space. Additional millwork elements were integrated throughout the space, custom cabinetry in elevator lobby to display awards.

Throughout the project, close collaboration with the client was essential to ensure that the design aligns with their brand and functional requirements. Careful budget management was crucial, especially with custom elements and high-quality materials.

We created a space that supports the diverse activities of Austin PBS, from fundraisers and productions to networking events and everyday business.
