Travis County - 700 Lavaca - Grand Stair

Although the scope of this project was to add architectural grand stairs at 700 Lavaca, QA had extensive envelope upgrades. During installation of the grand stairs, it was necessary to remove the existing glazing for installation of the staircase. This required installation of a new glazing system and envelope restoration.

The scope of this project included demolishing a previous concrete structure and pouring in new concrete for stair treads and landing. The concrete structure was then painted and marble tiles were laid on the stairs, landing, and surrounding walls. This project demonstrates QA’s ability to coordinate complex projects, including managing City Right of Way permits.
