Project Details
As part of a two-phase project, Phase 1 involves the comprehensive renovation of the corridor on the second floor of the University of Texas Law School’s Townes Hall (TNH). This phase encompasses a wide range of interior improvements between the classrooms. The scope of work includes demolition and abatement, followed by the installation of new classroom wood doors, frames, and hardware along the entire length of the corridor. Additionally, the renovation features beautiful custom wood paneling throughout the corridor, custom accent tile niches with countertops to create functional workspaces for students near the classrooms, and upgraded mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems.
The project also includes the installation of new ceilings, custom lighting integrated into the ceilings for an enhanced visual appeal, and built-in lighting within the wood paneling for an accentuated look. Epoxy terrazzo flooring, donor signage, and new furniture are also part of the renovation. Completed between May and August 2023, the project was finished on schedule, ensuring the corridor was ready for students’ return at the start of the academic year.
